New State of Play coming to keep Nintendo Direct company
If tomorrow wasn’t already exciting enough with a new Nintendo Direct coming our way, Sony has decided to get in on the fun by announcing its own special event showcasing upcoming games.
Kicking off at 3PM Pacific / 6PM Eastern for us Americans, this latest State of Play will offer up “~20 minutes of reveals, new updates and fresh gameplay footage for 10 games coming to PS5, PS4, and PS VR2.”
Further more, according to SIE content communications senior director Sid Shuman, on tap will be “great updates from our amazing Japanese partners, along with a few other surprises from developers all around the world.”
The Japanese connection is most likely the reason that both Nintendo and Sony are doing livesteam events at this point. Tokyo Game Show 2022 kicks off this Thursday, and tomorrow’s steams give the companies a chance to offer up game reveals before those publishers and developers go into more detail during TGS.
You can check out tomorrow’s State of Play via the official PlayStation channels on YouTube and Twitch.
