New expansion, Discovery Tour, year of content coming to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
During today’s Ubisoft Forward, Karen Lee, senior community developer at Ubisoft Montreal, shared a number of details and updates on the coming future of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Probably the biggest announcement was Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: The Siege of Paris, the next major expansion for the game. According to Lee, the expansion focuses on “…the most ambitious battle in viking history, taking place in war-torn Frankia.” When it arrives this summer, one element The Siege of Paris will bring is the return of black box infiltration missions.
As well, Ubisoft’s focus on history will continue in a new Discovery Tour. This fall, take a look into the viking age in, well, Discovery Tour: Viking Age. Free to all Valhalla owners, the new mode will offer “a deeper dive into the history of the Viking Age.”
Finally, Lee had some good news for players who can’t get enough of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
“For the first time on an Assassin’s Creed title, we’ll be supporting the game well into its second year,” said Lee. “While this year will be a very active year for the game, we’re already working on more expansions for next year. Something tells me that Eivor is not done with Odin yet.”
