MX vs ATV Legends delayed, new trailer reveals Collector’s Edition

THQ Nordic and Rainbow Studios have announced a delay for MX vs ATV Legends.

In a message posted on the game’s official website, Rainbow Studios CEO Lenore Gilbert revealed that the game’s release date is being moved from May 24th to June 28th. The decision to delay has been made to ensure that frame rate is high and stable and the physics are right.

“Game delays are never fun for the developers, or players. In our case we needed to choose between speed or quality, and the decision was simple,” Gilbert wrote. “We want to make sure that when MX vs ATV Legends comes out, it is the highest level of quality that Rainbow Studios can offer. Our art team making sure that frame rate is high and stable by making tons of passes in all of the environments. Releasing trailers, then listening to feedback so that we can make sure the physics are tuned just right.

“Design working across all departments to make sure that what we offer is a gaming experience you will be excited about every time you turn your console on. Engineers testing our new dedicated servers for stability so that the online experience is seamless for everyone. And of course, QA is working out all the bugs.”

Publisher THQ Nordic also shared a new trailer for the game that reveals the contents of the Collector’s Edition. This special edition includes:

  • Detailed MX vs ATV figurine featuring 2021 Yamaha YZ450F bike, a ramp, and two detachable flags (8 in/20cm high)
  • Metal sprocket keychain with MX vs ATV branding
  • 5 postcard prints
  • Special bonus DLC
  • Full MX vs ATV Legends game

MX vs. ATV Legends is now scheduled to release on June 28th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
