MultiVersus trailer reveals Taz, The Iron Giant, and Velma
A new trailer has been released for free-to-play fighter MultiVersus by publisher Warner Bros. Games that reveals three new additions to the roster.
The new trailer announces that Tasmanian Devil a.k.a. Taz from Looney Tunes, The Iron Giant from The Iron Giant, and Velma from Scooby-Doo will all be playable in the upcoming game. This trio joins Batman and Superman from DC, Bugs Bunny from Loony Tunes, Arya Stark from Game of Thrones, and more.
The publisher also revealed that an open beta for the fighter is set to take place in July 2022. This beta will be available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, and features full cross-play support and dedicated server-based rollback netcode.
Before then, a closed alpha is due to run from May 19th through May 27th. The alpha features 15 playable characters, seven different maps, and a number of modes, including a 2 vs. 2 team-based mode, 1 vs. 1 matches, 4-player free-for-all, and The Lab (practice mode). Players can register for a chance to take part on the game’s official site.
MultiVersus is in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
