Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, 10 games included

Capcom has announced Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, a compilation of 10 games in the spin-off series coming next year.

The Battle Network games all originally launched on Game Boy Advance, putting a turn-based, tactical spin on the Mega Man series. The games are set in a near-future virtual world, with protagonist Lan Hikari controlling MegaMan.exe to fight viruses and dispatch cybercriminals. All very 2000s.

Here’s the full list of 10 games that will be included in the Legacy Collection:

  • Mega Man Battle Network
  • Mega Man Battle Network 2
  • Mega Man Battle Network 3 White
  • Mega Man Battle Network 3 Blue
  • Mega Man Battle Network 4 Red Sun
  • Mega Man Battle Network 4 Blue Moon
  • Mega Man Battle Network 5 Team Protoman
  • Mega Man Battle Network 5 Team Colonel
  • Mega Man Battle Network 6 Cybeast Gregar
  • Mega Man Battle Network 6 Cybeast Falzar

You’ll notice there are some variants of individual entries with slightly different, complementary content, like the Pokémon games. Depending on your definitions, this may be more like 6 games, but it’s still an exhaustive lineup.

The collection includes visual filter options to make the graphics appear less pixelated, 1,000 pieces of concept art, and a music player with more than 180 tracks from throughout the series.

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection will launch in 2023. A press release from Capcom promises it’ll come to platforms “including” Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC, so it may wind up on more than just those three.
