Marvel’s Midnight Suns gets new release date, trailer as Spider-Man joins the team
The team of magic-tinged superheroes in Marvel’s Midnight Suns is getting a friendly new face on the team: Peter Parker’s Spider-Man. That news came courtesy of the latest trailer for Firaxis’s card-based tactics game, which debuted as part of the Summer Game Fest livestream.
While Spidey might not be the most natural addition to the roster, given both the power level and magical ties of the other characters involved, he does get a cool new suit that helps him fit in better with the likes of Doctor Strange and Blade. And, you know, a demon did ruin his marriage, so maybe he has a bone to pick with Lilith, the game’s demonic big bad (and an original character).
The trailer also highlights a few of the baddies that our team of heroes will be taking on, namely Venom and a corrupted Hulk. Banner in particular is looking pretty evil, with some demonic horns sprouting of his big green head. I’m guessing that’s going to be a pretty difficult boss fight, what with the Hulk being indestructible and everything.
The trailer also confirmed Midnight Suns‘ new release date, which has been in limbo since it was delayed out of March. The game will now release on October 7th.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
