Maneater is getting a free next-gen upgrade
Deep Silver and Tripwire Interactive have announced that their shark RPG Maneater will be updated for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.
On Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, the game will run at native 4K and 60 FPS, support ray tracing and HDR, and feature improved lighting effects. While Xbox Series S owners can enjoy a boost to visuals and frame rate.
Developer Tripwire also revealed that this next-gen upgrade will be free for all players who own Maneater on either Xbox One or PlayStation 4.
“The Tripwire team has been overwhelmed by the great reception Maneater received since it launched earlier this year, and we can’t wait for players to experience the thrill of playing as a deadly shark in all of her powerful glory on next-gen consoles,” John Gibson, CEO of Tripwire Interactive, said. “With next-gen Maneater has never looked better with amazing ray-traced water and smooth 4k 60FPS gameplay, but the adventures won’t stop there, as fans can expect even more exciting news about the future of Maneater soon.”
The next-gen upgrade will be available on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 from day one. The developer also plans to bring these next-gen updates to the PC version of the game in early 2021.
Maneater is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
