Latest Dying Light 2 trailer hits us right in the feels
Techland has released a new trailer for Dying Light 2 Stay Human, and it goes right for the feels.
The latest trailer shows exactly why protagonist Aiden Caldwell has shown up in The City: He’s looking for his sister, Mia (who is, funny enough, MIA). It appears that Aiden was torn away from his sister when they were both children so that a group could experiment on Aiden, seemingly giving him superhuman abilities.
But the part that will hit longtime Dying Light fans right in the feels is a moment in the trailer when an off-screen character states, “Who would have thought the end of the world could be so peaceful? I wish Crane could have seen this.” That is, of course, a reference to Dying Light protagonist Kyle Crane, whose fate at the end of The Following expansion is not so great, no matter which choice you make.
Techland perked up some ears earlier this week when it announced that Dying Light 2 will take 500 hours to “fully complete,” though later clarified that this meant doing all the side quests and earning all the different endings that the game offers. For a simple, single, story-only playthrough, players should be able to complete it in 20 hours or so.
Dying Light 2 Stay Human launches on February 4th for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch (Cloud), and PC.
