Knockout City gets a new game mode today
EA and Velan Studios have revealed that a new game mode will be making its debut in Knockout City today, June 8th.
This brand-new 3v3 mode is called Coin Hoarders and, if you hadn’t already guessed, revolves around collecting coins. There are eight coins on the map and each player can hold three at a time. KO an opponent to make them drop their coins and be the first team to hold all eight to win the round.
A new set of Crew Contracts are also on the horizon. Complete two to claim the Checker Crew Banner, while four nets players the Custom Camo Crew Vehicle. As usual, completing all six of the weekly Crew Contracts grants a stacking XP boost, which will be at 15 percent for completing the first three weeks of contracts.
Finally, Velan is preparing a new update for the game which is due to arrive “in the coming days.” This update improves matchmaking to reduce high-ping games, fixes a bug that caused the game sound to play in the background of the lobby, and stops PC settings resetting after reloading the game.
Knockout City is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
