Hunt: Showdown’s Serpent Moon event begins

Hunt: Showdown‘s “biggest-ever live event” is now live across PC and consoles, developer Crytek has announced.

The Serpent Moon event is live until September 25th and tasks players with capturing snakes in dens throughout the bayou and then sacrificing them on altars. However, snakes will attack if players make too much noise near them, so be careful.

During the event, three new Event Traits will be available to all players. The first, “Beastface,” reduces the reaction range of snakes, while “Serpent” increases the distance at which snake sacrifices can be made. The third and final trait, “Poison Sense,” identifies nearby poisoned players.

Players can also access a new Legendary Hunter named Viper, who will visually evolve through different stages. The stages available depend on whether players go down the free, standard, or premium path of The Gilded Path battle pass system.

The free pass offers two stages of Viper progression, while the standard and premium passes include four stages. Additionally, players can get the Romero 77 Alamo “Coluber” shotgun and the “Snakeshot” Sparks Pistol as well as Blood Bonds and boosters. Check out the full list of available rewards below:
