Halo community manager clears up rumors surrounding Halo Infinite
Has Halo Infinite actually been delayed all of the way to 2022? Is the Xbox One version of the game now cancelled?
Those questions (and some others) have been going around ever since the next chapter of the Halo saga was delayed—and now 343 Industries’ community manager has spoken up to give some answers.
“We’re seeing lots of fake ‘leaks’ out there, so please don’t believe everything you read,” John Junyszek wrote on Twitter in response to someone bringing up the 2022 date. “There are no plans to change our 2021 release or the devices and platforms we’ll be supporting. We’re building Halo Infinite to be the best it can be on each device/platform.”
While we still don’t know when in 2021 the game will be showing up, fan can at least rest a bit easier for now knowing the delay isn’t quite as extreme as it could be—or that it’ll be cancelled for the Xbox One.
