GTA Online’s Diamond Casino and Resort opens next week
After years of waiting, Grand Theft Auto Online players will soon be able to enter the game’s casino.
Rockstar today revealed that the previously teased Diamond Casino and Resort will open its doors to Los Santos’ residents on July 23rd.
“The massive construction project on the corner of Vinewood Park Drive and Mirror Park Boulevard is nearing completion, radically changing the skyline of Los Santos forever,” Rockstar says. “When the brand-new Diamond Casino & Resort opens its doors, one and all are welcome inside to play, or just to stay in the most luxurious residence in the entire state. More than just a place to let go of your inhibitions and your sense of the passage of time, The Diamond is the one-stop destination for quality entertainment, high-end living and a range of experiences you won’t find anywhere else.”
Players will be able to use Chips to play against the house in Three Card Poker, Blackjack, and Roulette. There are also slot machines, virtual horse racing, and the Lucky Wheel, which players can spin to win chips, cash, clothing, or the new Truffade Thrax supercar. A new vehicle will be available to win each week after the casino opens.
For players with a little cash to spend, the Master Penthouse is available to purchase. This new high-end property is located at the top of the casino and grants the buyer VIP Membership status, which includes access to VIP Lounges, High-Limit tables, and various special services. Players will be able to customize their penthouse with several floorplans, which include a private spa, a bar and party area, and a Media Room.
Players who are a little strapped for in-game cash can get the Master Penthouse for free by linking their Twitch Prime and Rockstar accounts by the end of July 19th.
Finally, owning the Master Penthouse enters players into The Diamond Family and unlocks a new set of missions that involve helping casino owner Tao Cheng stop a corrupt family of Texan petrochemical magnates from taking over. Completing this series of missions will reward “a highly coveted, brand new vehicle” for free.
