Gran Turismo 7 release pushed to 2022
Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo 7 has been delayed and will now launch in 2022, according to a Sony Interactive Entertainment PR representative.
During a recent interview with Sony Interactive Entertainment president and CEO Jim Ryan, GQ asked about Gran Turismo 7 and was told that a statement regarding the game would be provided later. The statement revealed that the game “has been impacted by Covid-related production challenges” and a decision has been made to delay it into next year.
“GT7 has been impacted by Covid-related production challenges and therefore will shift from 2021 to 2022,” it reads. “With the ongoing pandemic, it’s a dynamic and changing situation and some critical aspects of game production have been slowed over the past several months. We’ll share more specifics on GT7’s release date when available.”
Gran Turismo 7 is now scheduled to release in 2022 for PlayStation 5.
