Gardevoir joins Pokémon Unite tomorrow
The Pokémon Company has revealed that Gardevoir will be added to free-to-start MOBA Pokémon Unite as a new playable character tomorrow, July 28th.
Gardevoir is a Ranged Attacker who fights using psychic-based attacks and can also shield themselves. Get a brief look at this new character in action below:
This is the first post-launch character for the game, with Blastoise also scheduled to join the roster in the future. A release date for Blastoise has not been announced yet.
The game officially launched last week and pits two teams of five players against each other with the aim being to score more points than the opposing team. Points are scored by gathering energy through defeating wild and opposing Pokémon and then dumping that energy in one of the opposing team’s goals.
Pokémon Unite is available now on Nintendo Switch and is due to release for mobile in September.
