Gearbox Software has detailed a number of improvements and additions that it is working on for future Borderlands 3 updates.
To start with, game performance and stability are continuingly being worked on, with the developer stating that they are “top priorities.” The first major performance update is due to arrive in November and will include “various improvements game-wide.” More improvements will follow in future patches.
Also on the way is Mayhem Level 4, which is due to release alongside Takedown at Maliwan’s Blacksite. This new level offers tougher enemies and a new batch of legendary drops to acquire. In addition, Gearbox plans to overhaul Mayhem Mode with additional UI support, new Mayhem modifiers, Mayhem playlists, and new rewards.
Another area that Gearbox is working on improving is bank space. The first expansion will arrive as part of Takedown at Maliwan’s Blacksite and will “more than double the existing space.” The bank will continue to be expanded in future updates, according to the developer.
Other changes and improvements include new vending machines, the option to skip cinematics, the addition of a target dummy, dedicated loot pools for bosses, and character buffs. Read more about Gearbox’s plans here.
