Fortnite update removes game mode select screen, adds gyro controls
Epic Games has delivered a new update for Fortnite that makes a couple of changes to the game.
To start, the initial game screen that allows players to choose which game mode they wish to jump into has been removed from PlayStation, Xbox, and PC with this update. From now on, players will be dropped straight into the Battle Royale lobby. Anyone wishing to go into Save the World or Creative must now head to the Discover screen by clicking the Change option found above Play.
In addition to the above, new gyro and flick stick controls have been introduced on PlayStation, PC, Nintendo Switch, and mobile. Using the new Touch and Motion tab in settings, players can choose to control the camera by moving the controller and more. Read the full patch notes here.
In other news, Epic recently revealed that the Uncharted series is going to be crossing over with Fortnite later this week with the arrival of Nathan Drake and Chloe Frazer.
Fortnite is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile.
