Fortnite update brings back daily challenges, Chapter 2 Season 1 extended

Epic Games has brought back the patch notes for this week’s Fortnite update.

According to the notes, Daily Challenges have returned, items in the Locker can now be filtered by season, DirectX 12 support has been added, and the headshot multiplier of the Tactical Shotgun has been brought in line with the pump.

As well as this, the Bandage Bazooka is back, low-detailed buildings should no longer appear on PS4 and Xbox One, and the Magma Wrap should be fixed.

Epic also announced that it is extending Chapter 2 Season 1 until February. However, the developer promised that it has new game features, free rewards, and “a live experience that you won’t want to miss” over the holiday season.

While over in Save the World, players get a new Dungeons system. Dungeons see players descending to the depths to fight monsters, earn Magical Keys and golden coins, and unlock new heroes and weapons. Players can also take on a Mythic version of the Storm King fight to unlock a new set of Mythic weapons.

Elsewhere, Rocket Launchers now use ammo, a new UI has been introduced for Dungeons, and new heroes and weapons have been introduced.

Finally, Epic has kicked off a Battle Breakers crossover in Save the World. All players who reach level 20 in Battle Breakers will receive Razer has a new hero in Save the World.
