Fortnite update adds Armored Walls
An update is now available for Fortnite on all platforms that introduces a new trap and the first unvaulted item vote.
First up, players can get their hands on the new Armored Wall trap, which will place a barrier over any building piece to give it a health boost. Players can find this new addition in Supply Drops and floor loot.
Also added today is the first returning item vote of the war effort. Head to a Donation Board at any POI (Point of Interest) and donate Gold Bars to bring back either the Shockwave Launcher or the Rift-to-Go. The first item to be 100 percent funded is immediately unlocked.
In addition to the above, Fortnite is celebrating the fourth birthday of battle royale this week. From September 24th through September 28th, Birthday Cakes will be dotted around the map that grant health and shields, and Birthday Presents can be found that contain some loot. Birthday quests will also be available that reward the 4 Me??? Back Bling, Hooplah Hammer Pickaxe, and 4? Score! Emoticon.
In other news, Epic Games recently kicked off a collaboration with fashion house Balenciaga that adds new outfits to the game.
