Fortnite removes building, adds Doctor Strange in Chapter 3 Season 2
Building is gone from Fortnite with the release of Chapter 3 Season 2, Epic has announced.
With the start of the new season, players are no longer allowed to build in the main Battle Royale mode. In exchange, all players now come equipped with an Overshield that will take damage before health and shields. Building is still available in competitive/Arena playlists, Team Rumble, and Creative Islands.
In addition, base movement speed has been increased, sprint speed is now faster and has a cooldown, and players can now mantle onto ledges. As well as this, doors can be bashed open while sprinting, there are Armored Battle Busses and IO Titan Tanks to drive, and players can get a hold of new Combat SMG and Striker Burst Rifle weapons.
Other changes include the introduction of IO Blimps filled with loot, occupied POIs, Siege Cannons, and a Repair Torch item that can heal vehicles.
Finally, a new season means a new Battle Pass for players to work through that contains Doctor Strange, Prowler, Tsuki 2.0, a customizable Omni Sword Pickaxe, and more.
Fortnite is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile.
