Fortnite adds the Grapple Glove in latest update
Epic Games has delivered a new update for Fortnite that introduces the Grapple Glove to the game.
This new addition allows players to shoot a grappling hook at a hard surface like a cliff, prop, or building and then swing around. Each swing will cause players to move progressively faster up until the third swing.
“If you miss a shot and land on the ground, you’ll have a brief window of time to shoot the grappling hook and come back swinging,” the developer explains. “You’ll have an even longer window if you slide out of a swing, so don’t be afraid to combo some slides into your swinging action! But don’t worry if the window of time runs out: after a brief cooldown, the Grapple Glove will ready itself back up.”
Grapple Gloves can be found in Grapple Glove Toolboxes, which appear at pink Grapple Stops.
Epic Games has also increased the pellet damage, minimum pellet count, accuracy, and max damage cap of the Two-Shot Shotgun, and reduced the damage of the Combat SMG. Read the full patch notes here.
Fortnite is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile.
