First look at Fortnite on PlayStation 5
Epic Games shared a debut gameplay trailer for the PlayStation 5 version of Fortnite during the PlayStation 5 Showcase event.
The footage below was “captured on PS5” and shows off a new death animation, improved fire effects, and a new animation for the Chug Jug.
The trailer notes that this is the Unreal Engine 4 version of Fortnite, which is available on all other platforms. As previously announced, Epic plans to upgrade Fortnite to its new Unreal Engine 5 in mid-2021.
Fortnite will be available on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 from launch and will support cross-platform play and progression via an Epic Games Account.
