FIFA 21 coming to Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 in December
EA has announced that FIFA 21 will be getting its next-generation upgrade on December 4th, 2020.
The upcoming Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 versions of the game will feature faster loading times, deferred lighting and rendering, enhanced animation technology, off-ball humanisation, and more, according to the publisher.
As previously announced, owners of the game on Xbox One or PlayStation 4 will be able to upgrade to the respective next-gen version for free via Dual Entitlement. Owners of a physical copy of the game and an Xbox Series S or PlayStation 5 Digital Edition will need to contact EA support to validate their purchase for a free upgrade.
Until the next-gen version releases, players will still be able to play FIFA 21 on their next-gen console via backward compatibility. The PlayStation 5 will offer the same experience as PS4 Pro, the Xbox Series X as Xbox One X, and the Xbox Series S as Xbox One S.
FIFA 21 is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
