Far Cry 6 listed for May 2021 release by Microsoft Store
Far Cry 6 may hit PC, consoles, and Stadia on May 25th, 2021, according to a listing on the Microsoft Store.
At the time of writing, the date is still visible on the game’s store page. However, Ubisoft is yet to officially announce a new release date for Far Cry 6 following its delay last month, so don’t take this as fact for now.
The game was originally given a February 18th release date, but was pushed back to fiscal year 2021/22 alongside Rainbow Six Quarantine in October. Fiscal year 2021/22 runs from April 2021 through March 2022.
“While we know you are all anxious to get your hands on Far Cry 6, we want to let you know that we’ve been given more time to allow us to make this the game you aspire to play while focusing on the well-being of our teams in this unprecedented global context,” the Far Cry development team said last month.
“Our teams around the world are working in the studios and from their homes to pour their passion and creativity into making an unforgettable game – one we hope you will love. We hope you are all safe and healthy, and get ready to experience Yara and Far Cry 6 soon.”
Far Cry 6 is in development for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Stadia.
