F1 22 adding 2022 Formula 2 World Championship, a new icon, and more
EA and Codemasters have outlined a number of updates coming to F1 22 during October.
Starting tomorrow, October 11th, players will be able to experience the entire 2022 FIA Formula 2 World Championship. Race through the 14-round season, including sprint races, against Logan Sargeant, Jack Doohan, and more.
Then, from October 12th, a new Podium Pass will be released. Get a number of new cosmetics by working through the 30 Free and VIP tiers.
Completing October’s plans are Mika Häkkinen as a new icon for MyTeam, the Griddy podium celebration for all players, and a US-inspired Stars and Stripes livery, helmet, race suit, and gloves. All this comes to the game on October 17th.
“We’ve packed so much into the latest update with something for all players,” Paul Jeal, Senior Director F1 Franchise at Codemasters, said. “Whether it’s vibrant Podium Pass items, crazy dance celebrations, a new racing icon, or the full 2022 F2 season, players have lots of new content giving them the perfect excuse to head back onto the track.”
F1 22 is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
