F1 2021 update lets players use custom teams in Grand Prix
A new update has been released for F1 2021 that introduces a couple of new features and fixes bugs.
Starting today, players can take their custom teams into Grand Prix to race as the 11th team on the grid. Players can use their custom livery and select a teammate from the F2 2020 and 2021 seasons as well as My Team Icons. However, Mick Schumacher, Nikita Mazepin, and Yuki Tsunoda are not available for selection due to them already being on the 2021 grid.
Additionally, new connectivity warning indicators will now begin appearing in multiplayer. Players will now be alerted when they have connectivity issues, low bandwidth, or issues with their connection to the host.
Other changes include a reduction in the speed of the AI on certain tracks, a fix for Force Feedback being lost when using Quick Resume, and another fix for penalties being wrongly given at Jeddah. Read the full patch notes here.
F1 2021 is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
