Epic Games Store will continue to offer weekly free games in 2020
Epic Games has announced that it will continue to offer a new free game each week via the Epic Games Store for the rest of 2020. PC owners can currently pick up Sundered: Eldritch Edition from the store.
In addition to confirming the extension of the program, the developer shared a few stats about the Epic Games Store. According to Epic, 108 million customers have spent more than $680 million in the Epic Games Store, with approximately $251 million of that being spent on third-party games.
“In 2020 we’ll continue to lead the way in open and developer-friendly store terms, with 88% revenue sharing, support for developer and publisher payment systems, and keyless purchasing integration with Humble (more PC stores coming soon),” the developer added. “On top of that, we’re offering integration with Epic’s platform-independent and store-independent online services with more than 300,000,000 customer accounts and 1,700,000,000 friend connections.”
Epic also revealed the most popular games on the Epic Game Store, which include World War Z, Satisfactory, Dauntless, Untitled Goose Game, The Outer Worlds, Borderlands 3, Metro Exodus, The Division 2, and Control.
