Diablo II: Resurrected beta dates announced

Blizzard has announced the dates for Diablo II: Resurrected‘s beta.

Players who have pre-ordered Resurrected or the Diablo Prime Evil Collection on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC can participate in the Early Access test starting on August 13th at 10 a.m. PT. Pre-load starts today, August 11th. Players who pre-ordered can access the beta through their owned games libraries. The Early Access test period ends on August 17th at 10 a.m. PT.

Following the Early Access weekend, anyone on the aforementioned platforms can play the open beta from August 20th at 10 a.m. PT to August 23rd at 10 a.m. PT. Xbox participants will require an Xbox Live Gold account to play the Early Access test but not the open beta. A PlayStation Plus account is not required for either test.

Unfortunately, Nintendo Switch players will not have access to either beta.

The beta will give players access to five of the seven character classes that will be available in the final version of Resurrected: Amazon, Barbarian, Sorceress, Druid, and Paladin. The two classes not available during the beta are the Assassin and the Necromancer. As with the Technical Alpha, both Acts I and II are fully playable during the beta, but progression made during the tests will not carry over to the full release.

As far as multiplayer goes, 8-player multiplayer and cross-progression are both available during the betas, including PvP combat. This is also a reminder that the game will not feature cross-play, just cross-progression.

Diablo II: Resurrected launches on September 23rd for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
