Devil May Cry 5 on Xbox Series S will not support ray tracing

Capcom has confirmed that Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition will not support ray tracing on Xbox Series S.

“While ray tracing will be available as a downloadable title update on Xbox Series X, Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition will not support ray tracing on Xbox Series S,” the publisher wrote in an update on Twitter.

Even though ray tracing isn’t supported, the Series S version of the game will feature all of the other upgrades available on Xbox Series X. These include support for 120 FPS, reduced loading times, enhanced 3D audio, the Legendary Dark Knight difficulty, Turbo Mode, and Vergil as a playable character.

Capcom also confirmed that Vergil will be available to purchase as DLC for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC versions of the game from December 15th.

Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition launches November 10th for Xbox Series X/S and November 12th for PlayStation 5.
