Destiny 2 servers go down for maintenance ahead of Shadowkeep launch

Bungie has brought the Destiny 2 servers offline for maintenance ahead of the release of the Shadowkeep expansion.

The servers will be offline until tomorrow, October 1st, at 10 a.m. PT, at which point update 2.6.0.1 and Shadowkeep will be officially live.

Destiny 2’s Shadowkeep expansion sees players returning to the Moon to take on new nightmares alongside Eris Morn. Also included in the expansion are new story missions, a new dungeon, new Exotic gear, a new raid, and Destiny 2’s first season pass.

In addition to Shadowkeep, the conclusion of this maintenance will see the launch of Destiny 2: New Light, a free-to-play version of the game. Players who download New Light will get access to Destiny 2’s base game, the Curse of Osiris and Warmind expansions, and more. Take a look at everything included below:
