Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City Wire event has been delayed

Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City Wire event has been pushed back from June 11th to June 25th, developer CD Projekt Red has announced.

The developer explained in a statement on Twitter that the event is being delayed as “more important discussions are happening right now.” Read the full statement below:

We decided to move Night City Wire to Jun 25th. We still look forward to sharing new information about CP’77, but more important discussions are happening right now and we want them to be heard. We wholeheartedly stand against racism, intolerance and violence. Black Lives Matter.

This follows on from yesterday’s postponement of Sony’s Future of Gaming livestream. “We do not feel that right now is a time for celebration and for now, we want to stand back and allow more important voices to be heard,” the company said. A new date for the event has not been announced.
