Cyberpunk 2077 next-gen upgrade set for second half of 2021
The previously announced next-gen upgrade for Cyberpunk 2077 is coming in the second half of 2021, according to CD Projekt Red co-founder Marcin Iwiński.
In a new video, Iwiński apologized for the rough launch that the game had on console and revealed that the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 upgrade is now scheduled to arrive in the second half of 2021. Before then, free DLC for the game will be coming. More information about this free content will be revealed “in the coming months.”
Looking at the more immediate future, Iwiński announced that the first big update of 2021 will be going live within the next 10 days. Following this will be “another, more significant” update. These updates will focus on addressing bugs and crashes.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The game is also playable on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 via backward compatibility.
