Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed
Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed by five months to September 17th, 2020, developer CD Projekt Red has announced.
According to the developer, the game is “complete and playable,” but the team needs more time for “playtesting, fixing, and polishing” due to the “sheer scale and complexity” of the game.
“We are currently at the stage where the game is complete and playable, but there’s still work to be done,” co-founder Marcin Iwinski and head of studio Adam Badowski said in a joint statement. “Night City is massive – full of stories, content and places to visit, but due to the sheer scale and complexity of it all, we need more time to finish playtesting, fixing, and polishing.
“We want Cyberpunk 2077 to be our crowning achievement for this generation and postponing launch will give us the precious months we need to make the game perfect.”
Cyberpunk 2077 will now release on September 17th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
