Celebrate Borderlands 3’s second anniversary with the Loot the Universe event
Gearbox Software has announced that it is bringing back the Loot the Universe event to celebrate the second anniversary of Borderlands 3.
The event is live now and runs until September 9th. Each week of the event, one of Borderlands 3’s planets will have its legendary loot drop rates increased for a limited time and each zone on the planet will have its own dedicated legendary weapon type to hunt down, including pistols, shotguns, SMGs, assault rifles, sniper rifles, and heavy weapons.
The developer also revealed that the Mayhem Made Mild and Show Me the Eridium events are on the way. The former makes it so only easy modifiers will appear in Mayhem Mode, while the latter increases Eridium drops and discounts items purchased with Eridium. Both events will run in tandem from September 9th through September 16th.
Finally, Gearbox teased that it has more planned for the anniversary on September 13th, but is keeping it a secret for now.
Borderlands 3 is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia.
