Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War details initial post-launch plans

Activision has begun to announce its post-launch plans for the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, promising the biggest year of content drops in the history of the subfranchise.

A tweet from the official Call of Duty account outlined some of the free content on the way to the Cold War shooter, as well as to the ongoing free-to-play battle royale game, Call of Duty: Warzone.

Kicking things off on November 24th is Nuketown ’84, yet another reimagining of the classic, fan-favorite Black Ops map

The next big additions will roll out beginning December 10th, when the game kicks off its first content season. Players can expect Modern Warfare‘s 2v2 Gunfight mode to come to Cold War alongside new multiplayer maps and modes, and new Zombies modes. The game will also receive new weapons during Season One, and players can expect those to cross over into Warzone, along with a new “classified experience” for the battle royale game.

In addition to all of that, Activision is promising even more surprises for players—not to mention the future content seasons to follow.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War launches November 13th on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
