Borderlands 3 update nerfs KillaVolt, fixes Guardian Ranks and Pipe Bomb
Gearbox Software has pushed a new update live for Borderlands 3 that addresses a number of issues.
Today’s update addresses a rather annoying issue with the KillaVolt fight that resulted in the entire floor becoming electrified when the Shield Storm attack was used. This attack will now deactivate the tiles around KillaVolt to give players a safe place to stand.
There’s also fixes for Guardian Rank becoming unusable or going into negatives, the Porcelain Pipe Bomb doing way more damage than it should, and vehicle boosts continuing onto the next map.
Finally, there are a few performance improvements included in the update, such as a reduction in texture streaming when aiming down sights on PC and hitching caused by large friend lists.
“This update contains the first batch of performance fixes. It’s far from exhaustive, but we wanted to address issues and concerns with changes that were ready and tested out as soon as possible while the team continues active investigation and work on additional performance improvements for upcoming patches,” Gearbox added.

Borderlands 3 is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
