Borderlands 3 is free to play this weekend
Borderlands 3 is having a free weekend on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Stadia, publisher 2K and developer Gearbox Software have announced.
Players will get full access to the base game and all progress made and achievements/trophies earned during the free weekend can be carried over to the full game. A full list of end times for each platform can be found below:
- Xbox One – August 9th at 11:59 p.m. PT
- PlayStation 4 – August 9th at 9 a.m. PT
- PC (Steam) – August 12th at 10 a.m. PT
- Stadia – August 10th at 9 a.m. PT
“To play Borderlands 3 for free on your platform of choice, you’ll need to search for the Standard edition of Borderlands 3 on your platform’s online store, rather than the Deluxe and Super Deluxe editions of the game,” Gearbox added. “Please note that PS4 users will need an active PlayStation Plus subscription to participate.”
Gearbox has also pushed a new hotfix live for the game that makes balance changes to a number of weapons including the Lead Sprinkler, Carrier, Wagon Wheel, and more. Read the full patch notes here.
Borderlands 3 is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Stadia.
