Borderlands 3 has gone gold

Gearbox Software revealed on its official Twitter account that Borderlands 3 has gone gold ahead of its release next month.

For those who are unaware, a game going “gold” means that development is complete and the code has now been sent to manufacturing to be mass-produced.

The upcoming sequel sees players take control of one of four new Vault Hunters as they attempt to stop the Calypso Twins from uniting the bandit clans and seizing control of the galaxy’s ultimate power.

Last week, Gearbox introduced us to Zane the Operative, one of the four playable Vault Hunters in the game. Zane has access to a digital clone and a powerful barrier that both protects and increases his damage.

Borderlands 3 launches September 13th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
