Bloodstained: RotN adds Boss Revenge mode and Chroma Wheel today
Following a brief delay, the first big update in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night’s 2020 roadmap arrives today on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
The first part of this update is the introduction of the Boss Revenge mode. This new addition lets players control Andrealphus, Bathin, Bloodless, or Gremory in fights against Zangetsu, Dominique, and Miriam. Each of the four bosses come equipped with their own roster of abilities and unique playstyles.
Joining Boss Revenge mode is the new Chroma Wheel feature. Following today’s update, players will have access to a range of color options when customizing their character using Todd the Killer Barber. These new color options can be used on hair and sub-hair color, outfit and sub-outfit color, skin, and eyes. An option for lips will be added in a future update.
Finally, this update will make changes to how content is unlocked. The following adjustments have been made:
Unlocked from the start:
- Speedrun Mode – Unlocked
- Randomizer Mode – Unlocked
- Boss Revenge Mode – Unlocked
- Zangetsu – Unlocked
Requires game progression to access:
- Boss Rush
- Hard Difficulty
- Nightmare Difficulty
This update is scheduled to go live later today, July 2nd, on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC (Steam). Nintendo Switch, GOG, and Gamepass players will have to wait a little longer.
