Bloodstained 2020 roadmap includes Boss Revenge Mode, Chaos Mode, more
505 Games has shared a roadmap of planned updates for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night in 2020 to celebrate one million copies sold.
First up on the roadmap is the Q2 2020 update which is due to arrive on June 23rd for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, with a Nintendo Switch release to follow in July. This update contains the Boss Revenge Mode, which lets players take control of four in-game bosses and fight the heroes of Bloodstained, and the Chroma Wheel, which gives players a true color selector for character customization.
Following this will be the Q3 2020 update that introduces VS Mode, Chaos Mode, and Classic Mode. VS sees players compete by indirectly attacking each other, while Chaos Mode is a boss rush for one or two players that includes randomized drops and special sub goals that grant equipment upon completion. Finally, Classic Mode sees Miriam facing off “against a series of sub-bosses laid out across five harrowing stages and three difficulty levels.”
The last part of the roadmap is due to arrive in Q4 2020 and will introduce a third playable character to the game, who, according to the publisher, is not Dominique.
“Schedules are always subject to change, but that’s the current plan. It’s going to be a busy time for Bloodstained,” 505 Games added. “There’s more content in the works than we have listed above including bug fixes, improvements to the game, paid DLC and a few other surprises. We’ll reveal more details for each new feature when they are closer to release.”
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
