Battlefield 2042’s open beta will launch sometime in September
Electronic Arts director of communications Andy McNamara announced during a Battlefield Portal pre-reveal event that Battlefield 2042‘s open beta will launch sometime in September.
McNamara didn’t reveal exact dates for when the beta will take place. Players who pre-order the game will gain early access to the beta.
It’s unclear whether the newly revealed Battlefield Portal will be available as part of the open beta, but the game’s All-Out Warfare mode will almost certainly be the focus. The game’s closed technical test was recently delayed to August so that developer DICE had a better opportunity to test the game’s confirmed cross-play capabilities.
Battlefield 2042 is launching on October 22nd for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
