Battlefield 2042, FIFA 22 might be coming to Game Pass soon
Battlefield 2042 and FIFA 22 might be coming to Xbox Game Pass this week, if recent rumors are true.
Last week, German news site Xbox Dynasty and Polish news site XGP both reported that FIFA 22 and Battlefield 2042 were added to the Game Pass library (via PCGamesN). XGP managed to get a screenshot of Battlefield 2042‘s store listing with the Game Pass logo next to it before Xbox removed it.
However, U.S. Xbox store listings for Battlefield 2042 and FIFA 22 now have the Game Pass stamp. What isn’t clear is if that’s a reference to the 10-hour trial that each game offers or if both games are fully gearing up to hit Game Pass. Xbox “news guy” Idle Sloth stated that FIFA 22 was coming to Game Pass on May 5th without giving a source.
The only reason we’re inclined to believe this rumor is because FIFA 21 made its way to Game Pass pretty much the same time last year, and Battlefield 2042‘s player count numbers, at least on Steam, have plummeted since the game launched in November. Adding the latter to Game Pass would potentially give the game a much-needed boost in players ahead of Season 1’s launch in “early summer.”
