Back 4 Blood has gone gold
Warner Bros. Games and Turtle Rock Studios have announced that co-op zombie shooter Back 4 Blood has reached gold status.
A game going gold means that development on the main game is complete and the code is ready to be sent to manufacturing to be mass-produced and printed to disc. This also usually means that a delay is unlikely.
The upcoming game pits a group of survivors known as the Cleaners against hordes of Ridden, once-human hosts who have been turned into terrifying creatures by a parasite. Back 4 Blood features a cooperative campaign for up to four players and a competitive multiplayer mode.
In other news, the second beta weekend for the game gets underway today on all platforms. The beta is open to all players and includes six of the eight Cleaners, the first act of the campaign, the Fort Hope hub, and more.
Back 4 Blood launches October 12th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
