Back 4 Blood gets bloody new trailer, beta dates
Turtle Rock Studios and Warner Bros. Games debuted a new trailer for Back 4 Blood during the Summer Game Fest kickoff stream—alongside news of an open beta later this summer.
The co-op zombie shooter and Left 4 Dead spiritual successor will hold a preview starting August 5th through 9th, but that early access will only be open to those who have preordered the game. The beta will open up to everyone interested a week later, on August 12th, and run through August 16th. Both betas will be available on all platforms, with support for cross-platform and cross-gen multiplayer.
As for the trailer, it offers up more of the same gory action we’ve seen, but with a tease for a massive new boss character—something even bigger than the already massive Ogre. We’re not certain what it’s called yet, but we’re sure it doesn’t look too friendly.
This isn’t the last we’ll see of the game during E3, either. Turtle Rock will go in-depth about the game’s PvP mode for the first time during a livestream on June 13th at 2 p.m. PT. You can check that out on when it airs on the official Back 4 Blood Twitch, YouTube or Facebook.
Back 4 Blood launches in full October 12th. It’ll be on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
