Awesome Games Done Quick raises more than $3.4 million for charity
Speedrunning marathon Awesome Games Done Quick 2022 has concluded with a grand total of $3,416,729 raised for the Prevent Cancer Foundation.
The event kicked off on January 9th with an Any% Featherless run of Nioh 2 and came to an end on January 16th with an All Bosses run of Metal Gear Solid on Extreme. Other games run during the event include Halo: Combat Evolved, Uncharted 2, Resident Evil Village, Stardew Valley, and many more. VODs of each run can be found over on the Games Done Quick YouTube channel.
This year’s event also saw new world records set for Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Pumpkin Jack, and Webbed.
Games Done Quick has now raised more than $37 million for charities including Prevent Cancer Foundation, Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières, Direct Relief, AbleGamers, Malala Fund, and Organization for Autism Research.
Next up on the calendar for GDQ is the Frost Fatales event on February 27th, with Summer Games Done Quick set to return later this year.
