Awesome Games Done Quick 2021 raises more than $2.75 million for charity
This year’s Awesome Games Done Quick speedrunning marathon has raised more than $2.75 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation.
The online-only event ran from January 3rd-10th and managed to raise a total of $2,764,237 thanks to more than 42,000 donations.
AGDQ 2021 kicked off with a run of Mirror’s Edge and concluded with an All Dungeons run of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Also ran were Metal Gear Solid 4, Diablo III, Cuphead, Devil May Cry 3, Pokémon Platinum, and many more. An archive of all of this year’s runs can be found over on Games Done Quick’s YouTube channel.
To date, Games Done Quick has raised more than $31 million for various charities, including Prevent Cancer Foundation, Direct Relief, and Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières.
Next up are Summer Games Done Quick 2021 and Flame Fatales, but dates for these events have not been confirmed.
