Awesome Games Done Quick 2021 is now an online event
Awesome Games Done Quick 2021 will be an online-only event due to concerns regarding COVID-19, organizer Games Done Quick has announced.
“Out of an abundance of caution for the safety of the community, Games Done Quick has made the difficult decision to move AGDQ 2021 to an entirely online format and will not feature a live venue,” a message on GDQ’s official website reads. “Similar to SGDQ 2020, we will broadcast the event from our studio, with runners participating from the safety of their homes.”
The event will still run from January 3rd-10th, 2021, with game submissions opening on September 24th. AGDQ 2021’s full schedule is expected to be released on November 9th.
In other news, Summer Games Done Quick 2020 recently came to a close. This year’s event managed to raise more than $2.3 million for Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières.
Games Done Quick’s next event is Fleet Fatales, which is scheduled to begin on November 15th.
