Assassin’s Creed Valhalla update adds Saga difficulty, fixes stealth issues
Ubisoft has announced that its next major update for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, 1.5.0, will be going live tomorrow, February 22nd.
This latest update introduces a new difficulty setting known as “Saga Difficulty.” The easier difficulty mode allows players to enjoy the story “without having to worry about the challenges of stealth and combat.” In this mode, enemies inflict less damage and don’t scale with players, and players have more time to perform stealth actions when spotted.
New combat settings are also being added in this update that let players choose how much damage Eivor takes, how much damage Eivor deals, ration healing ratio, and more.
In addition to the above, the AI’s reaction to whistling has been improved, NPCs will no longer disengage from combat too quickly, and enemy cones are no longer reduced when using a bow. Read the full patch notes here.
In other news, Valhalla’s big Dawn of Ragnarök expansion arrives on March 10th. The expansion lets players absorb new abilities from fallen enemies, access a new Divine Quality of weapons and gear, use six new skills, and more.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Stadia, and Amazon Luna.
