Assassin’s Creed Valhalla update adds Mastery Challenge and new skills
A new update is coming for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla today that introduces the new Mastery Challenge mode.
Following the update, players will be able to find numerous shrines hidden around the world that are home to three trials, which will test players’ strength, marksmanship, and guile. Completing these trials will unlock unique rewards.
In addition to Mastery Challenge, three new skills are being added. First is Mounted Archer, which lets Eivor use their bow while mounted. Joining it is Shield Master that automatically rotates Eivor to block incoming attacks with a shield. The third and final skill is Unstoppable, which makes Eivor’s sprint unblockable during combat and allows it to knock back enemies at the cost of stamina.
Today’s update also makes a couple of adjustments to River Raids. The changes include increased rewards for raids at higher alert levels, an adjustment to Jomsvikings’ attack power, and the option to buy Wayland’s armor from Vagn’s Store using Foreign Cargo.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Stadia, and Amazon Luna.
