Assassin’s Creed Valhalla roadmap includes a new game activity and limited-time event
Update: Ubisoft has now revealed the official patch notes for Title Update 1.4.0, which is set to release tomorrow, November 9th.
As mentioned below, the big new addition in this update is the Tombs of the Fallen, which introduces four new puzzle-focused tombs across England. Complete these tombs to unlock two new achievements/trophies.
Title Update 1.4.0 also contains new skills for players to take into battle, including Perfect Parry, which deals additional damage for a perfectly-timed parry, and Master Counter Roll, an added hidden blade strike for executing a Counter Roll. The final new skill is an improvement to the Bow Stun Finisher that now shoots arrows at all stunned enemies in view. Take a look at the full patch notes here.
Additionally, Ubisoft revealed that the Oskoreia Festival will feature new quests and activities, including horseback riding and a tournament against spirits. Players must reach England, complete one of the first two narrative arcs, and have a settlement at Level 2 to participate in the festival.
Original Story: Ubisoft has shared a new roadmap for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla that goes over the plans for the rest of 2021.
The roadmap begins tomorrow, November 9th, with the release of Title Update 1.4.0. This update will bring with it a new game activity called Tombs of the Fallen.
Following this will be the Oskoreia Festival from November 11th through December 2nd and Title Update 1.4.1, which is due to arrive sometime in December. Ubisoft is yet to share any official details regarding this new content.
The last major update for the game was released back in October and introduced the free Discovery Tour. This new addition turned the game into “a nonviolent, interactive learning experience designed in close collaboration with historians and archeologists.” Players can take control of various characters from the Viking Age and learn more about their daily lives.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia.
