Apex Legends’ Preseason Invitational has a $500,000 prize pool
EA and Respawn Entertainment have announced that the Apex Legends Preseason Invitational will take place this September.
The tournament will run from September 13th through September 15th in Krakow, Poland and sees 80 teams competing in a bracketed format for a share of a $500,000 prize pool. Teams who wish to take part in the tournament will have to register here.
All 80 teams will begin the tournament in the winner’s bracket. After each round, a team’s overall performance will determine whether they continue in the winner’s bracket, move down to the loser’s bracket, or are eliminated from the tournament. This continues until there are 20 teams left. These 20 teams will then compete for the title.

The Apex Legends Preseason Invitational is the key next step in our esports journey.”
“Competition is in the DNA of Apex Legends and this competitive event will showcase the game at its highest-level,” design director Chad Grenier added. “This Apex Legends Preseason Invitational advances our vision towards a robust competitive experience with the community at the center. We continue to explore all the entertaining ways both players and spectators can experience Apex Legends and look forward to bringing this event to life.”
Apex Legends is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
